Finish a tear-drop shaped “Fascinator” including fabric covering, trim, embellishments (flowers, feathers, etc.) and comb attachment. You’ll be ready for the next royal wedding or special event. Enjoy this creative workshop with your girlfriends, sisters, mothers/daughters. Minimum age 14. Some hand-sewing ability an asset but not required.

Using acrylic paints create loose, colourful, and somewhat abstract trees. In the morning Karola will teach you different brush strokes, techniques and types of trees to paint. In the afternoon paint your own acrylic on canvas.

Learn how to hook four patterns for coffee mug coasters in the primitive manner. Complete at least one of the patterns in class, then take the rest home to finish at your leisure. Hoops and hooks are provided for your use and may be purchased at the end of the day. Please bring sharp scissors.

Make a mini-top hat or a mini-pillbox with flat brim, including base, fabric, trim, embellishments (flowers, feathers, etc.) and comb or other attachment. Catsue will discuss a brief history of millinery, the principles of design and some instruction on handmade flower and leaf ribbon-work.
