Multimedia Film Festival  York Region Winners
7 p.m. King City Library.  No charge.
Michael Bowe, Chair and Founder of the Multimedia Film Festival of York Region will show some winners of this year’s documentary films.  There are four categories – professional, all inclusive, secondary/youth (14-18) and Elementary/children (6-13).  Films run from 6 seconds to 34 minutes and explore the diverse cultural identities & social issues across our region.

Documentary “Jackie – The Power of Style”
with writer, producer Christina Pochmursky.
7 p.m. at Schomberg Library.  No charge.
Decades after Jackie Kennedy Onassis’s death, she remains an icon of style and elegance throughout the world. Jackie’s extremely personal and distinctive imprint dominated every aspect of her life. The film also explores the power of the media in the 60′s showing how history and television turned Jackie into one of the most powerful and memorable media celebrities of the modern age

Documentary “King – An Exploration of a Township and its People”

7 p.m., Schomberg Library. No charge.

Heritage King produced this wonderful 30 minute film documentary of King’s history, directed by Mark Magro of Wanted Media with Elaine Robertson’s AIM class 2009 from Kettleby Public School. Mark, Elaine and students will be in attendance for a Q & A period after the showing.
