 A summer’s morning walk for families through southern Happy Valley Forest to look for evidence of past peoples and present wildlife.  Bring your cameras and water.  Meet Ann and David Love at the intersection of the 7th Concession and the 16th Sideroad.

University of Toronto’s Koffler Scientific Reserve at Jokers Hill, 17000 Dufferin St. (south of Hwy. 9).
With 10 million species, insects are the most diverse of all organisms.  Get the scoop on their secret lives and cunning ways with Dr. Maydianne Andrade and Dr. Andrew Mason, spider specialists and professors of biology at U of T. Children can engage in a special bug-catching competition between walks!

Hike & Click at Happy Valley

Enjoy a leisurely hike with photographic stops along the way led by photographer Garry Conway and an ORTA – King representative. Bring your camera and tripod, water and snacks and wear good walking or hiking shoes. Meet at end of 7th Conc. just south of 18th Sideroad in Pottageville.

Nature Appreciation Hike at Cold Creek Conservation Area

Enjoy a serendipitous meandering through the flora and fauna of Cold Creek delighting and sharing in each other’s knowledge. Bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes and join the volunteers from CCS, ASK and HVHTA.

Cold Creek address: 14125 11th Concession (3.5 km north of King Road, 5 min to Bolton & Nobleton, 15 min to Schomberg & King City). Drive through the gates into the site and meet at the Education Centre.
