University of Toronto’s Koffler Scientific Reserve at Jokers Hill, 17000 Dufferin St. (south of Hwy. 9).
With 10 million species, insects are the most diverse of all organisms.  Get the scoop on their secret lives and cunning ways with Dr. Maydianne Andrade and Dr. Andrew Mason, spider specialists and professors of biology at U of T. Children can engage in a special bug-catching competition between walks!

Kidsfest at King Township Museum

9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Grade 5 students from King Township will participate in mini workshops focusing on arts, heritage and nature. The theme for 2010 will be 400 years of history in Ontario. Music, traditional crafts and active participation will make this a fun and educational day for everyone. Presented by the King Township Museum, King Township Public Library, ASK, Arcadia Academy of Music, and Toronto Region Conservation (TRCA). Sponsored by TRCA, ASK and King Township.
