A fundraising event for Arts Society King and the King Heritage & Cultural Centre for arts and culture programming in our community.
Dust off those dancing shoes and test out your Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, and West Coast Swing for our 1940s VE for Victory Dance to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. This vintage-themed event will host a performance by Martin Loomer & the Orange Devils Big Band, opportunities to dance, dress the part in historic style, participate in a 1940s costume contest, and more!
1940s dress is encouraged but not required – dress your best in any era or style!
Refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and snacks will be served at additional cost.

Martin Loomer & The Orange Devils Big Band
The Orange Devils Band is a 13 piece big band consisting of some of the finest jazz musicians in the Toronto area. We feature the music of the black bands of the 1930’s: Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Jimmie Lunceford, Fletcher Henderson, Andy Kirk and his Clouds of Joy, and others!
The band is hot, the music is bluesy and swinging, and it all combines for sheer fun led by ace arranger and guitarist Martin Loomer.
